Placenta Previa.

Yup yup, I have not updated this blog for 3 months now. So many things has come and gone.

I'd recently read a book called "Tuesday with Morrie" by Mitch Albom.
One of the phrase caught me: "Appreciate It."

It made me thought of my journey of my 8th month pregnancy till YanYan is born.

"Stop all house work. Stop working. Stay at home. Stay in town. Dont go travel overseas. Have more bed rest. Stop exercising even yoga, no stretchings of any kind... However, if you have the tiniest bleeding, come straight to the hospital."

This was 2 weeks before I was admitted to the hospital.

Pineapple ripen

Today one of my pineapple has omitted a lovely fruity smell indicating that the lil' spiky fruit is ready to be Eat!!

Can't wait to indulge into the yummy juicy fruit..... (saliva drooling already :p ...)

I pluck out all the plantlet at the bottom. This pineapple has the most plantlets I have seen for the last 5 years since I plant these pineapple.

Total 11 little plantlets from the bottom part.

Cut off the head.

View from the top.

Manage to remove 4 plantlets from the top portion. Still have some little plantlets left. This top of the pineapple plant can also be plant again. It will grow roots again in a few months time.

Cut out the eyes....

Save the core, we just can't throw the core away, we eat it as well...Why waste?

Sprinkle some salt all over....

Let's Eat!!! The fruit was gone in just a minute.....

Then, hubby said: Honey, can we pluck another pineapple??
Me: No, hon, have to wait another 1-2 months for the rest of the 4 fruits to ripen...
Hubby: Aawwww....

P/S, save the pineapple skins for your garbage enzyme. It creates the best smelling garbage enzyme.

Pineapple of the year

I have forgotten to put a live pineapple fruit in my living room in conjunction with the Chinese New Year. Chinese have a belief that pineapples are associated with money due to its cantonese dialect pronunciation: "Wong Lai" which means "Money Coming In". Everyone loves to have more $$ in their bank account, isn't it? So Chinese will put a pineapple (or more) with the "head" (leaves) on top of the pineapple intact. However, normally they will get those with 2 "heads" (the more, the merrier), more "Ong", which means even more prosperous, then more $$ coming lor!!

This year, one of my pineapple plant have lots of plantlets top and bottom. Thanks to the garbage enzyme. I will post more on this yummy baby once the fruit is ready to be munch on..... Can't wait....

Before I pluck the fruit off the plant.

Top of the fruit (the head).

Bottom of the fruit.

My "Ong" factor in the living room.
Everyone loves it. Lots of Wows and Aahhs from it. :)

Hair Scrub.

2 weeks ago I went to my hairdresser for a hairwash and a hair cut in time for Chinese New Year celebration. You got to have to put on not just a beautiful face but a good hair cut as well, right? The "hairwasher" guy keep asking me to invest in their special hair scrub treatment coz I kept having dandruff on my scalp. I was skeptical and kept thinking that's another commercial product ruining my health.

Hmm, it kept me ponder, can I make a hair scrub myself?? I've never heard of such product, been searching on the net, no such product either.... How can I make one myself...??

Suddenly while washing my hair today, I look into my basket full of beauty stuffs in my bathroom, I remember I have a container of plain sea salt somewhere..... I rub it into my scalp after 2 shampooing (either using organic shampoo twice each time, or once with baking soda solution and organic shampoo), rub generously with the salt all over my scalp for I guess a few minutes, then my scalp starts to sting, rinse off, condition my hair ends organic conditioner.... After blow drying my hair with a dryer, I noticed that less dandruff are falling off my scalp!! After checking in the mirror ...... Hahaha guess what, my scalp are almost as a baby scalp!!

Talking about saving your money on commercial products, you can get lots of cheap beauty / spa treatment in your very own kitchen........ Yuppiii, another new "invention"..... hahah.

Practice crawling.

Now YanYan is a 4 months old baby at a whopping 7.7kg weight!
Her cousin Justin who is 15 months weights the same 8.6kg?!!
And YanYan is still 100% breastfed!

And yet, she still can't flip over. Probably too heavy ?

Being anxious, I tried to put her on her stomach so that she can learn how to crawl. Trying to skip the change sides and flip over steps.

i'm trying.....

still trying.....

YanYan: Mommyyyyy, help meeee!!! Woooaaaoooaaaa...
Mommy: Oops, sorry babe, mommy so mean huh...
