Week 16.

Went for a check up today and glucose blood test.

Have to be 2 hours earlier to take a glucose drink to challenge my system. Then wait 2 hours. After that, take blood test.

Why this test?

According to the gynae, to measure the amount of glucose in the blood right at the time of sample collection. It is used to detect help diagnose diabetes.

Nothing else was done and the gynae chose to let me listen to the baby's heartbeat through clinical doppler.

He said, This is how the baby's heartbeat looks like.....

I said, I listen to this almost every other night lar....

Gynae: Huh, how do you listen to the heartbeat when this doppler cost more than a thousand??

me: I bought 1 thru ebay mar, cost less than RM300..plus shipping some more...

nurses: Hah? what is ebay???!!???
conversation continues......

There it goes, how technology still buffers certain people.. While we techies searches the internet for the latest gadgets for pregnancy, there are still people out there rely heavily on doctors to check or know whether the baby is doing well or not.

Thanks to the doppler that I'd bought. I can now check whether the baby is doing well or not anytime whenever I want. hehe

Pet wash with garbage enzyme

I have started to use my diluted enzymes to wash my dog Junejune beginning of March, when my first garbage enzyme is 5 months fermented.

Junejune used to have lots of flies and mosquitoes around her everyday. It is quite irritating for her and she would just open up her mouth to "eat"/catch the insects. EEeeee... I feel irritated too coz the mosquitoes will also fly into the house and feed on me and my hubby. ARRRGGGHHH.

After 2 months of washing June weekly with the diluted enzymes, meaning 500ml with 1 capfull (plastic bottle) of garbage enzymes, I call it June's enzyme eco-shampoo, the flies and mosquitoes seems to leave June alone. Guess what...... June has less dog smell too. You know lar, dogs have pretty bad doggy smell after 1 week of no washing.

Another thing that I have noticed, June was having a bit of hose with 6-8 legs red tiny blood sucking bugs on her, before I tried to wash her on the enzyme eco-shampoo, I will just wash and then leave the shampoo on without rinsing it out thoroughly with water. Strangely, the bugs seems to gone and I didn't notice it until 1 month later.

The person who came out with the garbage enzyme recipe is just genius. I can now save on insecticides, pet shampoo!! :) Talking about environment friendly too...

Garbage enzyme on my plants and fruit trees.

Ever since my first garbage enzyme is fully fermented for 5 months, I have tried to water my plants by diluting the enzyme with at least 1000ml to 2000ml of water every weekend. Then pour a cupful to each plant.

I notice after 3 months,
1. The bougainvilleas will flower the very next day or few days later.
2. The leaves are more greener the very next day.
3. The pineapple plants (I have 20 of it) are still fruiting after Chinese New Year. Last year only 3 pineapple plant have fruited before CNY and stop fruitting till this year. Only fruits once a year. Now, the pineapple plants have fruit at least twice a year. Yuppy, More pineapple fruits.
4. My fruit trees have more fruits! yummy.
5. Any dying plant that were scorched by the hot sun, will just sprung up lively the very next day.

After 4 years of caring for my garden with commercial fertilizers, my plants will never get instant results like garbage enzyme. This is really saving my money and helps to green our earth too.

Fetal Doppler Baby Monitor review.

This stuff really rocks! Get to really practice a few times to really find the baby's heartbeat.

It is quite difficult to hear the heartbeat without any web substance on the tummy. So I have tried to put on some body lotion, on the tummy, then scan the doppler around my tummy for the tiny winy heartbeat. After 2 days, I can finally differentiate my own heartbeat and baby's heartbeat. Mine are slower. However, baby's heartbeats are just like real galloping horse that pumps none stop, and real fast.

So now, every now and then I will pick up the doppler to check whether darling baby is doing fine. My mom was stunned to know that there are so much weird gadgets nowadays.. hehe... I heard that she rely on every doc's appointments to know whether we siblings are doing fine, monthly... Must be counting the days when she had us.

Week 13.

My baby was having kick-boxing session during the last checkup. My gynae was having a hard time trying to check the baby's neck thickness measurements through 3D scans, ie. to find out the likelihood of having down's syndrome (DS). Well it turn out well, it is below the normal limit. Took him 20 minutes to get the right figures. Pphheeewww.....

Dry Skin.

I started to scratch my skin especially around my bulging belly and breast starting from Week 12. Too early for some right. I have tried using commercial body lotion, nivea cream….. None works at all to stop me from scratching!!

Then I found that this could be the skin is being stretch and causes the skin to dry or itchy.

At this time, I have just bought the pure organic unrefined shea butter hoping to prevent stretch marks. Needless to say, this was a god-send product. I slap on the rubbed/warmed shea butter on the itchy areas, the itchy feeling just stop right there and then. Whhoooppeee. I have since used this every day. Plus I just love to rub the shea butter on my palm before each massage on my skin. Gone for the itches. Hahaha.
