King Crab Feast

Me and my husband and 5 other family members in a tow went for a King Crab Feast in a Japanese Restaurant in Kepong. We have requested the Japanese restaurant owner to book a crab for us from Japan after looking at one of the Japanese travel magazine introducing different types of King Crabs.

My husband received a call yesterday afternoon and we immediately gather another 5 family members to enjoy the sumptuous treat lunch at 2.30pm.

The King Crab was air flown from Japan and arrived yesterday. According to the owner, the crab was caught in Russian waters. The crab weighted a total 2.4kg and boy it was hugh!

We requested the owner to let us take some photos before it goes to "heaven".

It is still fresh and moving. According to the owner again, the crab was put into the fridge to keep it fresh and alive. Once the crab left the fridge, the crab becomes warm and literally paralyzed (slow response)! So it won't bite, haha. Coz they are not supposed to live in warm water. They are only available during the Japanese winter seasons. So you can't have it abundant in Malaysia.... :(

The crab was then made into 4 different type of dishes:
1. Shasimi
2. Shabu-shabu
3. Grilled
4. and Soup
Finally porridge.

The total cost of the crab + cooking and ingredient fees is about RM600++..
Huuuuhhhh, pretty expensive, but add in another few side dishes, the total bill came up to RM750. Wow, but divided by 7 pax is about RM107 per person. Kinda ok and reasonable. When we left the restaurant it was nearly 5.30pm!

Sadly due to the excitement when the dishes arrived, we'd forgot to take the PICS!!! Talking about 7 hungry stomachs................

But the crab dishes are really yummy.... yum.. yum... Can't wait till winter again....

Pregnancy symptoms at 4 weeks

Why I have missed interpreting the pregnancy symptoms that I have now:
1. Abdomen pain = PMS symptoms
2. Extremely sleepy = sometimes does happen before menses
3. Tender breasts = PMS symptoms
4. Feel warm = PMS symptoms
5. Sluggish and lazy = PMS symptoms (mind you, these are really my symptoms)
6. Lower abdomen muscle twinges = Hmm, never happen before, probably new PMS symptoms?!
7. Gassy stomach = PMS symptoms
8. Bloated lower Abdomen = PMS symptoms
9. Frequent urination = Wake up practically twice every night!! I have to literately pull myself up to urinate. Thought that I drank too much water......

No doubt, these pregnancy symptoms are the same with PMS symptoms except the frequent urination.

Pregnancy confirmed at 4 weeks!

Yup! It is confirmed. I'm officially pregnant!
Scans shows that the tiny little sac of fluid is 4 weeks and 3 days. :)
What a beautiful sight!

But my gynae said he can't be sure whether the sac really contains embryo coz it is just 4 weeks and looks like a tiny water sac. So just to be sure, we will gonna get another scan 2 weeks later to check whether it has heartbeat. Can't wait till week 6th. 14 more days to go. So anxious to know.....arrrgggh....

Yay! Doctor confirmed positive!

See that tiny little sac? So small at 4 weeks. The sac is measuring 0.60cm at 4 wks 3 days.

My husband is so happy that he can't close his mouth smiling when the doc confirmed it. hehe.

So my gynae said do not take chinese herbs of any kind except red dates 红枣. Also just to be safe, my husband gonna be "monk" for the first 3 months of pregnancy..... haha poor guy.

Eeerrrr!! The chocolate cysts.
But the darn thing is I have to live with the chocolate cysts that seems to grow to 5.31 cm x 3.65cm size from the last scan in October 2008 from 3cm x 3cm. Hopefully it disappears over time during this pregnancy although my gynae said it wouldn't until few subsequent pregnancies. Oh Please god, please help me!!

Finally Pregnant!

I have been feeling a little bit tired for the past few days. I've Never thought of my last period is now oeverdue for 1 week liao. Strange enough, some hinge told me to get a pregancy test and now Yup! The 2 beautiful pink lines on the pregnancy test and the "positive" sign on the Clearblue test kit just . Yay! Yay! Finally, after 4 years of trying and more than 7 years of endometriosis of suffering and still having the damn cysts.

Me and my husband was wondering how did this happen?
Does the 10 days holiday without any touch of computer and laptops helps?
Does the yummy Japanese strawberries that we took (loads of it) in Japan helps?
Does the "before 12am" sleep during the 10 day holiday helps?
Does the healthy Japanese food we took in Japan helps?
Does the relax set of mind whereby we did not even think any of our business during the 10 days while truly enjoying the holiday helps??
Nevertheless, this could be it!

I have never thought that I can get pregnant. This is so much a great news to me and my husband. Needless to say, after so many false alarms, endless crying over single pink lines pregnancy test results, I am now over the moon!! But still Gonna get a checkup with my gynae this Sat to be sure. Hopefully the cysts dissappears.

What is endometriosis?

OMG! Ice in North Pole melting faster than normal?

Omg, Omg, Omg, I must write this. The ice in the North Pole might melt this year!!

Does that mean that our global temperature is gonna increase by a few oC within a year?

Has anyone think what will happen to our mother earth 10 years down the road?
Is our earth safe for our children?
Does it really makes a difference if we switch off the extra lights?

Global warming, Earth dying?

I have just read an article last week on global warming. What if our earth's temperature increases and what will happen. I have been wondering this for the past week, and after some searching through the net, I have found this site:

URL:
http://www.justlifeshop.com/changeclimate/pages/6degrees.html

Rather intriguing and sad at the same time.

It says that:
If global climate increases 1 oC, Fresh water lost from 1/3 of the world's surface; Ice-free sea absorbs more heat and accelerates global warming; Low lying coastlines flooded.

My opinion: Mind you, now our global temperature has increased to 0.74oC compared to temperature 5000 years ago !!! Destruction has just begun...... London's recent snow storm, Ice melting in the North Pole..............

If global climate increases 2 oC, Europeans dying of heatstroke; Forests ravaged by fire; Stressed plants beginning to emit carbon rather than absorbing it; A third of all species face extinction.

My opinion: I must say that we just had towns devastated by wildfires that continued to burn across vast areas in Australia. Forget the arson attack! Without that kind of once-in-a-century heatwave, and a combination of high winds, gusts and low humidity, it would not created a perfect storm scenario for the fires.

If global climate increases 3 oC, Carbon release from vegetation and soils speeds global warming; Death of the Amazon rainforest; Super-hurricanes hit coastal cities; Starvation in Africa.

My opinion: China just have drought this recent winter. Starvation in Africa has been long going. Gush.

If global climate increases 4 oC, Runaway thaw of permafrost makes global warming unstoppable; Much of Britain made uninhabitable by severe flooding; Mediterranean region abandoned.

My opinion: What will happen to Malaysia? My beloved country?

If global climate increases 5 oC, Methane from ocean floor accelerates global warming; Ice gone from both poles; Human migrate in search of food and try vainly to live like animals off the land.

My opinion: I guess most lands on this earth are now underwater?? Where will the rest of the human beings live??

If global climate increases 6 oC, Life on Earth ends with apocalyptic storms, flash floods, hydrogen sulphide gas and methane fireballs racing across the globe with the power of atomic bombs; only fungi survive.

My opinion: Does this means that we, human, animal, plants and everything on this earth are gone????? This is so scary. Now is 2009 and after 100 years of technology driven humans designing ever super products to help mankind to being lazy, we are actually pushing our mother earth nearer to "death"!

Do something everyone! Start making garbage enzyme, use less energy, save water, use less chemical products, plant more trees, use more organic products and eat organics.......... and the main point is, DON'T WASTE !! Just 1 tiny little effort 1 person a day, will deliberately saving our mother earth.

Save our Earth for our children.
because
We are merely borrowing our Mother Earth from our children.

Mouth Ulcers........Vit B helps too.

They are Back again last week!! Have been lazy to take the 'Liver flush' tonic lately, plus thanks to the extreme hot weather, so those darn mouth ulcers are back attacking my mouth, again :( This time, my mouth keeps feeling dried out eventhough I drank 2 litres (or more) of water for the past few days. Mom ask me to tried Vit B + C and also ginseng powder to sooth the ever drying heaty feeling mouth + lips. I tried taking Vit B + C once every day for 3 days. Also took 1 teaspoon of ginseng powder for the past 3 nights (before sleep, put on tougue and drink some water). The American Ginseng powder (luckily my dad sells this and I can "take" for free, hehehe) really does it job in relieving the heaty feeling as soon as I woke up on the 2nd morning. Mouth ulcers pain starts to subside on day 2, then starting to close up on day 3. So I continue to "mouth ulcer medication recipe" for another 4 days, I can say, today, THEY are COMPLETELY gone again. :)

My Dog June June

Aren't she a cutie? She just love to sit that way, like any women crossing her leg!

This is my Dalmatian dog June June. Born in June 2000. She is a mixed of Dalmatian and boxer. She is medium size unlike her ancestors who are larger.

1 really naughty and cheerful fella. Great mouse catcher and anything that moves in our garden!! To those who do not know, Dalmatians are born to hunt!!!

Me and my husband treat her like our little girl who by the way, keeps yearning for love.

See the chain tied around her neck? The lawn mover (we called him the gardener) was around and this is the ONLY time that she can't move much and would sit/stands still having pics taken, which is a very difficult job if she is without it coz she is too hyperactive. Runs too much. Luckily we have a garden for her to run around.....

When am I gonna be released? When is the gardener leaving?

Hmmm... I smell food........ Yummy....Slurrrppp.....Slurrrppp.....

Huh? I thought I saw a squirrel......Where's it???

Excuse me.... What are u doing??? U know I don't like to take photo mah......!!!

Notice her eyes??
She have got 1 with eyeliner (left) and the other without (right). Mom was joking that she forgot to put on the other eyeliner when she reincarnate....hahaha.....

June says: Eh, don't laugh at me lar, shy man....
