OMG! Ice in North Pole melting faster than normal?

Omg, Omg, Omg, I must write this. The ice in the North Pole might melt this year!!

Does that mean that our global temperature is gonna increase by a few ^oC within a year?

Has anyone think what will happen to our mother earth 10 years down the road?
Is our earth safe for our children?
Does it really makes a difference if we switch off the extra lights?
