Fetal Doppler Baby Monitor.

I have bought this off Ebay HK for US$34.99 which is about RM126.91. Just received it on 2 days ago. Why i'd bought this? Coz i'm so jealous of my husband who is able to put his ears next to my tummy to check and hear my baby's heartbeat. At first I was thinking to get 2 way "doctor's" testoscope (meaning for 2 adults instead of only 1). Went to check our ToyRUs, they have got single testoscope and it retails more than RM150!

Went to check on Ebay and here's what I have got:

This Fetal Doppler is by Angel Sounds.

The doppler comes with 1 headphone, 1 cord (the 1 on the right) which i still do not know what is the use for, and a square battery (new).

According to the ebay listing description, the doppler can listen and record my baby's heartbeat. Yet, i'm still thinking on how to record the sounds??!!

This gadget works like a mini ultrasound. My gynae has 1 doppler machine (commercial) in his office too.

Till now, probably the baby's heartbeat is too soft. I still can't find it. Will update later on this.

Ebay listing's description:

Angelsounds is a wonderful gift for all expectant mothers in the world! With this device, you can hear the prenatal baby's activity as of the first movements of your baby in your belly. From the twelfth week of pregnancy, the sounds of hiccups, kicks, blows and even heartbeats can be heard. These marvelous sounds will bring you closer your coming baby!

Angelsounds is a safe apparatus to humans (including the unborn baby), which allow you, your honey or your friends to be pleased to listen to the baby's sounds in comfort.

Thanks to the recording cable, you will be able to record the baby's sounds to a cassette, a CD, or directly store to your PC, your cell phone, your Ipod/ MP3. You can even send these sound files to your friends via email to share your happiness with them! These wonderful sound files will also be an invaluable remembrance to your unborn baby one day when he grows up!

Angelsounds can be used singly and also transmit the fetal heart signal to the Remote Central Monitoring System in hospital through ordinary monitoring telephone to provide diagnosis for doctors, enjoying the hospital experts' diagnostic services at home!

Besides, Angelsounds can also be used to record the mother's own heartbeat and play it back to the newborn for a calming effect!

What will your baby's sounds like? Your baby's heart beats 120-160 times a minute and will sound like a rapidly galloping horse. Her hiccups will sound like 2 rapid drumbeats, and her kicks will sound like soft thuds. You will also hear the nutrients passing through the placenta by using this amazing device.

Bra Extension.

I have to resort to "Bra Extension" when my bras starts to feel tight few weeks ago. Now without this wonderful creation, my current bras felt so tight till I have problem breathing.

Bought this bra extension 3 weeks ago at Parkson at RM9.90. Pretty steep for a tiny item. Quality is ok. But I don't have to buy new bras just for the sake of my 9 months pregnancy. I can now wait till another few more months to buy maternity breastfeeding bras or till my "cup" gets bigger till it "spills over".

I bought this by Triumph. The only 1 brand at that Parkson having it in stock. Other brand's have sold out.

Expensive huh?

Just hook this extension to your current bras.

Can be adjusted to 3 sizes. If these 3 additional hooks does not help, you'll gonna get new bras.

I have just bought another 1 set (2 pcs) of bra extension off Ebay MY at RM7.90. Shipping is about RM3+ and waiting for the seller to ship to me. Now my bra is so tight coz i accidently wash my bra together with the bra extension. Clumsy me. Have to wait for a few days for the new purchase. :( But I do hope the ebay purchase's quality is ok.

Week 12.

Can't wait to go for check up tomorrow. My tummy is bigger now. Took measurements for my tummy with a good old Ikea measurement tape. Guess what.... My waist / tummy went from usual 26 inches to now 30.5 inches... 4 inches in just 2 months. There goes my waist. Kinda already feel like I walk like a preggie... meaning no waist lor...

My heart starts to pump faster than normal since 6 weeks pregnant, which I forgot to add into my list of symptoms. Normally it happens in the morning, after breakfast. Now the heart palpitations also happens when I do my simple house chores like drying the "semi-wet" cloths, after washing lar. I always have to visit my sofa / bed to lie down on my left to slow down the heart....... If not, i'll be having asthma attack look on my face.... palelike a ghost....

Week 10.

Oh wow, now i'm in my week #10. Went for a ultrasound today. Everything seems fine. I can now see the baby's big head and tiny little body. What a wonderful sight. Have to go back again on week #12 for a blood test and a check on the "fluid" behind baby's head. Sort of checking for down syndrome kind of thing.

1. Extremely sleepy = no longer feel sleepy during afternoons.
2. Tender breasts = totally forgot about it actually. No longer feels the tenderness i was having for the pass few weeks. Strange. Aren't our breasts suppose to be tender throughout the pregnancy?

3. Feel warm = nope. Feel normal.
4. Sluggish and lazy = Aiya i'm becoming lazy day by day.
5. Gassy stomach = less gassy now.
7. Bloated lower Abdomen = less bloated now.
8. Frequent urination = Hmm. don't have the frequent urge either.
9. Nausea = Getting less. Total 2 pukes in the week.
10. Hungry = Never changes.
11. Food = Always small portion at a time. That's why always hungry. But if I had too much, will visit the loo almost immediately to puke.
12. Water = Always small sips at a time.

Week 9.

Bought an Accupressure bands (see below) for the nausea last week. Works pretty well for nausea. It is like the puking sensation just stop a the bottom of my throat.

The bands works really well Especially when my hubby drives me to work that makes me have travel/motion sickness. Every stop, turn Uwee, I feel like gonna puke. Kept 2 plastic bag in the car for emergencies like these, but da never got the chance to use it... good lar.

1. Extremely sleepy = 10 hours every day is a must. If less than that I will feel zombie like in the afternoon or after food.
2. Tender breasts = Totally forgot it, kinda feel less heavy now.
3. Feel warm = no longer feel warm.
4. Sluggish and lazy = All the time. My hubby does the chores now..... :)
5. Gassy stomach = After food some times.
7. Bloated lower Abdomen = Same.
8. Frequent urination = Not so frequent.
9. Nausea = The smell of lemon peels does helps a bit of getting rid of it. But the Bands saves the day.
10. Hungry = Always hungry.
11. Food = Take small amount every time.
12. Water = Take small sips every time.

This is how the band looks like. It comes in a pair. At this moment the retailer only have grey in colour. How nice if it would be in pink........

This is how it looks on my wrist. Just nice.

Very convenient to put into the purse. It is small with size approx 2.5 inch x 2 inch (65mm x 55mm)

The band comes with instruction manual to teach you how to wear the band correctly.

This Sea Bands Accupressure Bands is retailed at RM39.90. Affordable and washable. 1 set is enough for a lifetime. A very good investment to stop you from being sick.
I have once worn this for 12 hours in a day (only once) when I feel nausea for the first few days. No side effect. The only "side effect" is the mark that accupuncture point left lasted for almost 1 hour.
